Maker Project Resources:
High Altitude Balloon Launch
This blog provides a comprehensive overview of the project including resources outlining how to “launch” a weather balloon/ PongSat project in your class. The “tutorials” section of the Global Space Balloon Challenge is also instrumental in preparation for this project. You can also watch the NECN piece about the project by clicking here.
The compost project is an evolving endeavor in conjunction with our parent partner, Mr. Atakan Kadi. Readers can find a general overview of the inspiration project here. A more detailed description of the project can be found here. We made some modifications the project using an inflatable bounce house blower, a Waste Mangement dumpster bag, a 30ft of Corex drain piles, and a Raspberry Pi. If interested in replicating this project, please reach out to Dave Quinn via email.
Virtual Exchange Project
Below find the full-length videos from both the Memorial Elementary School in Upton and the Santa Theresa School in San Sebastian Spain.
Game Makers Project
The slides below provide an overview of the Game Makers project presented by Alice Gentili. Participants are encouraged to use the slides for inspiration and re-design the project so that it is unique to their students and their school context.
