Notability is a fabulous app to do a variety of things including taking notes, marking up PDF’s, and more. It is important to make sure that the great work being done in this app is saved automatically, in the event your iPad malfunctions or there is some other error on the device. The developers of Notability make backing it up a breeze. Here’s what you need to do.
Step 1 – Open Notability
You might need to tap the “back” arrow in the upper left hand corner, if you already have a note open.
Step 2 – Tap the Gear
In the lower left hand corner of the sidebar, tap the gear.
Step 3 – Tap “Auto-backup”
In the pop-up that appears, tap on “Auto-backup” that appears on the left side.
Step 4 – Select Google Drive
Tap on Google Drive, then tap on the gear to the right of Google Drive.
Step 5 – Choose Note Format
Under “Choose Format” make sure that Note is selected. This is important as it will save all your markups, audio recordings, and other changes you make to the documents you have within Notability. Tap back to “Settings” and then “Close” and you are all set.
